What happens during professional teeth whitening?

When you come in for whitening, we will clean your teeth to remove any plaque and tartar buildup that could get in the way of even whitening.

From there, we will place a protective barrier over the gum tissue and then apply the whitening gel to the front of your teeth. The gel will remain on your teeth for up to 15 minutes, after which we will remove the whitening gel and apply a fresh new layer. We will remove and reapply the gel 2-3 times during your treatment to ensure that stubborn stains are gone. The whitening process only takes about 45 minutes.
